Campaign Overview: A media relations campaign to introduce travel press to the region
One of France’s lesser known holiday destinations needed PR to raise its’ profile and build tourism once low fares flights from the UK began operating a regular service.
In order to introduce the region, a media event was held in London whereby top chefs from the Roussillon Languedoc region were flown in along with local produce to prepare a traditional lunch for UK media.
The lunch was well attended by over 30 media; those who expressed particular interest in the region were then taken on a press visit later in the year. The trip was hosted in association with Ryanair and Orient Express Hotels. Coverage was generated in regional and national publications.
