Campaign Overview: An event management and publicity campaign, incorporating crisis management.
Glenfiddich single malt whisky sponsored the Melges 24 class in a series of major sailing events including Cowes Week, the Scandinavian Open (Copenhagen) and the Italian Open (Italy).
The campaign focused on event management and consumer PR activity including radio, TV, national newspapers and magazines.
Much publicity was centred on the Glenfiddich all female crew which generated excellent coverage in women’s magazines such as Marie Claire and She.
The campaign required working with affiliate European public relations consultancies in Denmark and Italy.
The campaign also incorporated a core crisis management element following a fatal accident and major news breaking story during one of the sponsored events.
